ATE10 opens online news room

ATE10 logo

11 May 10 (TravMedia.com): Tourism Australia in partnership with TravMedia has again created a dedicated online news room for the 2010 Australian Tourism Exchange allowing all Australian sellers attending the event to supply their news direct to the media.

The TravMedia ATE10 news room - http://www.travmedia.com/ate2010 has been developed as part of Tourism Australia’s commitment to delivering more sustainable events.

This system has proven to be a more effective way of distributing Australian product news directly to the media attending our events as well as enabling Tourism Australia to make our events more sustainable by significantly reducing the amount of paper used.

Every Australian travel organisation attending ATE as a seller company will be able to upload press releases onto the dedicated press room, accompanied by up to six high-resolution images, free of charge

Australian travel organisations who are attending ATE and who are already associated with TravMedia’s Australia Region will automatically have their press releases, photos, videos and details transferred across to the ATE news room database.

Australian sellers who don’t have an existing account with TravMedia will need to set one up for the ATE online news room by going to http://www.travmedia.com/ate2010/and following the simple to use instructions. The deadline for activating a new TravMedia account for ATE is Friday 21 May.

Sellers will be able to submit their ATE press releases from Monday 10 May to Thursday 27 May, with the first Daily Summary of news stories available to the media from Saturday 29 May. A daily alert will then be sent to media until Friday 4 June, provided news is supplied.

ATE10 will take place at the Adelaide Convention Centre, Adelaide from 29 May to 4 June 2010.

The event provides a forum for Australian tourism businesses such as hotels, airlines, tour companies and transport providers to meet with international wholesalers and retailers from around the world to showcase their products to the global distribution network and negotiate deals.

Around 1,700 Australian delegates from 600 companies are expected to meet with 700 key buyers from more than 40 countries at ATE10.
