Speaking at the event, minister counsellor Nguyen Minh Vu praised the association for its practical activity, emphasising the significance of preserving cultural traditions for young generation. The activity will help German friends better understand Vietnam’s special cultural characteristic, he said.

The children were entertained with lion dances and martial arts and song and dance performances.
The festival was also celebrated in Leipzig, Halle, Chemnitz, Dresden, Brandenburg and other cities of Germany.

Meanwhile, nearly 200 Vietnamese children gathered in Moscow, Russia, on October 3 to celebrate the mid-autumn moon festival.

The night festival was distinguished with “Nhat Nam” martial arts performed by Russian artists.

This is the first time the programme is held with the sponsorship of Thailand’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Home Affairs.

According to Siriwan Thrykaew, Head of the Thai delegation, the exchange offers Vietnamese and Thai students an opportunity to study the two countries’ history, thus having better understanding of the bilateral ties.

During the programme, the participants will visit Bangkok City and conduct a fact-finding tour to the northern province of Chiang Rai, she added.

On July 31, they met with Vietnamese Ambassador in Thailand Nguyen Duy Hung, who stated that over the past 33 years, the relationship between Vietnam and Thailand has continuously developed in various fields, including politics, economics, culture, education, tourism, trade and investment.

Thailand now ranks 11th among 80 countries and territories investing in Vietnam.

The Vietnamese diplomat expressed his wish that each Vietnamese student will act as an “envoy” to help Thai peers understand more about the land and people of Vietnam.

On July 30, a delegation of seven Vietnamese students also attended a cultural exchange in Washington hosted by the US Department of State.

Lying between Danang and Hue cities, Lang Co is the third bay in Vietnam being admitted to the club following Halong Bay and Nha Trang Bay.

The bay was selected for its preserved natural beauty, which harmonizes with local people and attracts a lot of tourists.

Addressing the ceremony, Chairman of the Thua Thien-Hue provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Ngoc Thien called on all people and agencies to protect the bay for a sustainable development.

He also called for investment in environmentally friendly projects and human resources training and added that Thua Thien-Hue plans to build the Chan May-Lang Co economic zone into a modern international trading and tourism centre.

Along with two specific exhibitions of VietFine Food and VietWine for experts in the hospitality industry and staffs in hotels, restaurants, service suppliers and food industry only, the VietHotel Exhibition has been organized first in Hanoi by the experts and officials in the hospitality industry; senior authorities; leaders of large associations; chefs and F&B managers in Vietnamese leading hotels. They exchange and contribute their ideas to make the exhibition professional and achieve international standard.
