US company applies for casino-resort project licenseUS company LIZ has applied for a license to build a 4.5 billion USD casino-cum-resort in Phu Quoc Island off the Mekong Delta province of Kien Giang. The Kien Giang Province People�s Committee has submitted the project to the Government for approval. If LIZ is permitted to carry out the project, it will pour an additional 4 billion USD into transportation infrastructure in the southwestern region and Phu Quoc Island. It has also committed to expanding local coffers with non-refundable aid of 150 million USD for social and infrastructure development and 10 percent of its annual profit from the project.
