Vientiane - Luang Namtha - Oudom Xai - Muang La - Nong Khiaw - Luang Prabang    Journey Map
For many, the lofty mountains and sheer riverine valleys of northern Laos truly sum up the dreamy and exotic nature of the entire country. This is ideal for Northern Laos adventure. Luang Namtha is explored in detail before the journey south ward by road and river via Muang La and Nong Khiaw before arriving in Luang Prabang.
A pleasant journey through changing landscape starts in the plains skirting the
river and then continues in the mountains, passing through the
    traditional villages

Small villages of ethnic groups contrast with the towns and their richly
    gilded temples and traditional pagodas

The incredibly romantic Luang Prabang, the ancient capital of Laos, is well
worth taking the time to visit

Trek to explore limestone caves at remote villages along the way

Leisurely boat rides on the Mekong River
